Our Top Picks for Christmas and New Year’s Eve Catamaran Charters

July 5, 2025

The holidays are all about coming together, sharing laughs, having good food, creating memories, and appreciating your loved ones. Spending that time on an all-inclusive, crewed, luxury catamaran in the warm and beautiful waters of the Virgin Islands is magical.

Laura’s curated a small sample of amazing catamarans available for either holiday or both. Now is the time to book your holiday charter to ensure you get the right boat, the right crew, and the right experience for you and your family.

Sea Home II

Sea Home II is a 2025 Lagoon Sixty5, which can accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 ensuite cabins. This catamaran is perfect to host the entire family onboard for a week. There are 3 crew onboard to ensure that 5-star service is felt throughout the week. and service while onboard. The Lagoon Sixty5 is all about comfort, with endless lounging spaces for guests, both in and out of the elements.

A few key features that I really love about the Lagoon Sixty5 are:

  • The cabins. The versatility the 5 cabins offer: 2 cabins with European Kings (with the option to separate them into twins), and 3 queen-size cabins, make this boat quite comfortable for large families with kids, teenagers and young adults to have some space.
  • The bow. Might be my favorite spot to sit in while underway. Whether I’m looking to enjoy the sea spray sitting on the trampolines or stay a bit drier and enjoy the sunken cockpit, the bow of the boat is fun. If you’re really lucky, you might even spot dolphins from the 2 bow seats.
  • The hydraulic swim platform/stern. Having the ability to safely and comfortably lower and raise guests out of the water is essential. Wether there is a physical limitation or just nervous swimmers, a hydraulic swim platform is a must-have. I also love the large setee with the changeable back cushions, allowing you to either face forward into the cockpit, or face the stern and be able to watch everyone playing in the water. The extra bonus is creating a beach club in this area.
  • The hardtop bimini flybridge. This often feels like command central during the week and is so multi-functional. You can hang by the captain while underway to talk about the day’s plans, take the helm and learn some basics of sailing, enjoy cocktails and cold beverages from the bar, enjoy alfresco dining, lounge out on the sunpads, and most definitely enjoy the gorgeous 360 degree views anytime of the day.

Sea Home II is available for the Christmas week, those dates would roughly be a December 19 or 20th start, ending on December 26 or 27th. To see Sea Home II’s full e-brochure, click here.

Indigo

Indigo is a 2024, Horizon Power Catamaran and can accommodate up to 6 guests, in 3 ensuite cabins. The Horizon catamarans are all about luxury, comfort, stability, and more luxury.

A few of my favorite features on Indigo are:

  • The primary’s suite on deck. It’s unique in that it’s situated on the same level as the salon and galley (less stairs for the weary knees). It is full beam, features wrap around windows, walk-around King-sized bed, a setee, and spacious bathroom with dual sinks and toilet and shower separated.
  • The fully air-conditioned flybridge. Another very unique feature to the Horizon power catamarans that you won’t find on other catamarans. There is a full bar, two helm seats with large lounging pads, a day head, and an L-shaped dining area.
  • The port aft guest cabin. I love the versatility of this cabin, with the option to use as two twin beds, or a massive King-size bed. It’s a great cabin for kids or two adults who don’t want to have to share a bed.
  • A cruising speed of 18knots. The islands, cays and reefs throughout the Virgin Islands aren’t super far apart, but having a great and comfortable cruising speed means more time is spent exploring these beautiful areas, rather than trying to get there.

Indigo is available for the Christmas week, meaning it could do a December 19 – 26 or a December 20 – 27 charter. To view Indigo’s full e-brochure, click here.

A3

A3 is a 2016 Lagoon 560 that can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 ensuite queen-sized cabins. This catamaran has it all with a well covered flybridge, a forward cockpit, a proper owner’s suite, and 70HP dinghy with a plethora of watertoys.

A few of my favorite features on A3 are:

  • The hydraulic swim platform. We’ve talked about how this particular amenity can really add to your overall experience of chartering a boat, and that’s because of how multipurpose they are. You can stay dry and use it as a mini beach club. Accessing the water and dinghy is a easier, especially for those with mobility issues.
  • The sunken forward cockpit. The bow has so much going on with trampolines and bow seats, but having a sunken cockpit that will protect you from the sea spray while underway, is fantastic.
  • A spacious primary’s cabin. The beautifully appointed cabin will ensure the best night’s sleep. The separate shower, head, and sink, ensures two people can comfortably get dressed and ready for their day of adventure. There’s also private access to the cockpit, lots of hanging closets, and a full walk-around queen sized bed enjoy.

  • The flybridge. This space keeps you protected from the elements, all while enjoying 360 degree views. The seating is comfortable, with a foldout table that can allow for alfresco dining or just offer a nice setup for canapés and sundowners.

A3 is available for both a Christmas and a New Year’s charter. To view A3’s entire e-brochure, click here.

Sol Seeker

Sol Seeker is a 2014 Leopard 44 and can accommodate up to 6 guests, in 3 ensuite cabins. This is a great option for the more budget consciousness charterer. Whether it’s a group of friends or a smaller family, Sol Seeker makes a great choice to explore the Virgin Islands. There is also no age restriction on Sol Seeker, making it a super family friendly option.

A few of my favorite features on Sol Seeker are:

  • The forward cockpit. This is a great little area that is fun to use in the morning while enjoying that first cup of coffee. You’re protected from the sun and can comfortably sit there while taking in the view of your surroundings.
  • Captain Scott is a SLC instructor (a prestigious international sailing certificate that allows bareboaters to sail anywhere in the world). For those sailors who have the experience and do the online coursework prior to charter, Captain Scott can conduct the water test for the SLC throughout their vacation and certify the if they pass the requirements. If a family is thinking about buying a catamaran to go cruising with and would like to take advantage of this, it’s a great opportunity.

  • Water Toys. Sol Seeker has SUPs, sea scooters, subwings, floating mat, kayaks, snorkel gear and even hammocks. There is no shortage of toys to keep everyone busy and able to explore the beautiful waters.

Sol Seeker is available for both the Christmas and New Year’s weeks. To see their full e-brochure, click here.
