Laura’s Summer 2026 Favorites: Crewed Catamarans Worth Booking

January 4, 2026

Something I’m learning as I am fortunate enough to still be in this world, growing older is that time only speeds up. Those moments you tell yourself, “we’ve got time, we’ll do it another time,” are easy excuses to default to. There are no guarantees in life. I am personally working on saying “YES!” more to opportunities. So if you’ve already explored the Virgin Islands, I’ve got some new charter locations for y’all to consider. From Australia, to the Med, and North America, there’s something for everyone.

Check out Laura’s curated sample of catamarans available in various locations, such as the Bahamas, Virgin Islands, and Windward islands.

Bundalong

Bundalong is a 2019 Sunreef 80 and can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 ensuite queen cabins.

A couple of key features that I really love about this charter yacht are

  • The trampoline/bow area. I love this area because it’s so multifunctional. The trampolines are great for lounging and soaking up the sun. There’s plenty of space to set up a yoga mat and find your inner peace. And then there’s the forward cockpit that makes a great place to gather for sundowners and canapes.

  • The hydraulic swim platform. This is such a helpful tool to assist guests in and out of the water effortlessly. Whether guests are looking to go diving or have mobility issues, the hydraulic swim platform takes away the stress. It can also be set up as a beach club.

  • The salon. This salon features an up-galley version, which can create a fun and interactive meal time with your chef. And with an oversized dining table, everyone can comfortably sit for their 5-star meals. It’s also a cozy area to play board games or watch a movie during those windows of inclement weather.

Bundalong will be in Australia for June and July, based out of Cairns, on the northern shores of Australia, close to the Great Barrier Reef. To see Bundalong’s full e-brochure, click here.

Siete Mares

Siete Mares is a 2025 Lagoon Seventy 8 power catamaran and can accommodate up to 8 guests, in 4 ensuite cabins. She will finish her Caribbean season in April and then make the journey over to the Med.

A few of my favorite features on Siete Mares are:

  • The salon. This space has truly been designed with the charterer in mind, with the galley down layout, guests have full use of this beautiful salon. Wether you’re enjoying a delicious meal, enjoying happy hour around the wet bar, or using the large, retractable, flatscreen TV to stream the game, the salon is fully functional.

  • The retractable sunroof on the flybridge. The flybridge functions as one of the main gathering spots on this catamaran and it’s easy to see why. You can enjoy alfresco dining up there, find a sunpad and take a nap, enjoy the wetbar, and sit next to the captain as y’all make your itinerary for the day. The coolest feature here is the sunroof that can fully open, to either expose the sun or enjoy the night full of stars at the end of a long day on the water.

  • The crew. A seventy-eight foot boat requires abled bodies on deck to ensure a smooth experience. Chartering Siete Mares comes with 4 crew, ready to meet every need; delivering a 5-star, ultra lux charter experience.

Siete Mares will be based out of the Western Med this summer, specifically out of Olbia, Sardinia, and Corsica. To view Siete Mares’ full e-brochure, click here.

Le Reve

Le Reve is a 2017 Lagoon 620 that can accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 ensuite queen-sized cabins. Le Reve will complete the BVI season in early June and make her to the Bahamas for a few charters and then up to New England for the remainder of the Summer.

A few of my favorite features on Le Reve are:

  • The hydraulic swim platform. We’ve talked about how this particular amenity can really add to your overall experience of chartering a boat, and that’s because of how multipurpose they are. You can stay dry and use it as a mini beach club or to access the water with more ease.

  • The cabins. This Lagoon 620 is the owner’s version of the Essence line, which means with only 3 cabins for guest’s use, every cabin feels like the VIP. boat, and is the Another exterior place for guests to enjoy while sailing or at anchor. There’s multiple sunpads and a small cocktail table.

  • An extensive, carefully curated fine-wine selection elevates every moment onboard. Designed for foodies, adventurers, and high-end travelers alike, this is luxury cruising at its finest. Come aboard and experience genuine five-star hospitality from an outstanding crew.

Le Reve is booking a limited number of Bahamas and New England charters this Summer. To view Le Reve’s entire e-brochure, click here.

Baymahni

Baymahni is a 2021 Bali 5.4 sailing catamaran that can accommodate up to 8 guests, in 4 ensuite cabins. This boat will be offering charters starting out of George Town, Exumas, which allows guests to completely avoid the long sail out of Nassau.

A few of my favorite features on Baymahni are:

  • The signature garage door transforms the salon, opening it completely to the stern and effortlessly uniting indoor comfort with outdoor living.

  • A proper primary suite designed for comfort and privacy. The cabin offers a queen-size walkaround bed, separate toilet and shower, a small desk area, and private stern access—making it an excellent choice for parents or grandparents seeking a quiet retreat onboard.

  • The forward cockpit. The Bali sailing catamarans feature large sun pads where the trampolines would be. Just behind the sun pads is the sunken cockpit area complete with a comfortable seating and a fold down table. I love this area while underway. I can go back and forth between laying on the sunpads or stay seated in the cockpit while enjoying snacks and drinks.

Baymahni is available for charter in the Virgin Islands. To see the full e-brochure, click here.

This is just a sample of several catamarans cruising in other areas besides the Virgin Islands during the Summer months. If you’re interested in booking a crewed catamaran charter, please feel free to give us a call, or send an email directly to Laura@CatamaranCentral.com
