Overview 

Pure Joy is an outstanding example of the highly regarded Seawind 1600 Passagemaker, one of the most capable and well-balanced performance cruising catamarans in the 50-foot class.

Designed by the internationally renowned naval architects Reichel / Pugh Yacht Design, the Seawind 1600 combines efficient hull design, advanced composite construction and thoughtful systems engineering to deliver a yacht that excels in both sailing performance and long-distance cruising comfort.

 

Extensively equipped for global voyaging, Pure Joy benefits from numerous significant upgrades including twin 80HP engines, a 22 kWh lithium battery bank, approximately 2 kW of solar generation, hydrogenerator power generation, dual autopilots, dual watermakers and a comprehensive communications suite including Starlink and satellite systems.

Importantly, Pure Joy has successfully completed major legs of the World ARC circumnavigation rally, proving both the capability of the design and the robustness of her systems in real ocean conditions. As a result, the yacht is offered fully equipped and ready for continued bluewater cruising.

Unlike many brokerage yachts that have seen limited coastal sailing, Pure Joy has already completed a major global cruising campaign, including participation in the World ARC circumnavigation rally.

Design & Construction

The Seawind 1600 represents the flagship model of the Seawind range and reflects more than three decades of multihull development.

Naval architecture by Reichel / Pugh Yacht Design provides performance-oriented hull shapes and efficient weight distribution while maintaining excellent load-carrying ability for long-distance cruising.
