With a design inspired by the shipyardâs flagship Catana 62 and 70 models, the Catana 53 offers the same pedigree of offshore capability in a size manageable by a couple. Built using advanced infusion techniques, her hull is a foam sandwich composite reinforced with Vinylester resin, Twaron® aramid fibre for impact resistance, and carbon reinforcements in key stress areas. The result is a yacht that combines strength, stiffness, and lightweight construction for superior safety and performance.
Her light grey hull, white superstructure, and Flexiteek decks create a timeless, elegant profile. Structural bulkheads are infused carbon/foam sandwich, integrated and reinforced for maximum rigidity. Carbon is also used extensively in her rig and fittings: Axxon high-modulus carbon mast and boom, carbon bowsprit, longeron, front beam, martingale, and daggerboards, ensuring strength without compromise on weight.
