The USVI is open for business and has been welcoming visitors since early September 2020. With the crewed charter yacht industry being one of the best and safest ways to enjoy the territory with your friends and family; there’s no better time to plan your pandemic escape.
The USVI is following CDC guidelines and they’ve made it a simple process for people who want to travel, to come and enjoy the territory. Anyone over the age of 5 will be required to take an approved Covid-19 test and upload it to the travel portal (found here: https://usvitravelportal.com/). Travelers will have their temperature taken at the airport, present their paperwork and be allowed to carry on to their destination. Like many places in the US, there is a mask mandate in public places; so while you’re in your taxi, shopping at local stores, or visiting a restaurant, everyone will need a mask. With the USVI being a U.S. territory, visitors won’t be required to take any additional Covid-19 tests to re-enter thee U.S.
Each charter yacht and crew have their own protocols that they’re following, based on CDC guidelines. But here are just several examples of what the charter yachts are doing to keep you and your loved ones safe:
-Crew will take a Covid test before each charter begins.
-Guests’ temperatures are taken upon arrival, as well as each day onboard.
-Yacht is thoroughly sanitized 24 hours before guests arrive; no one else but crew will be permitted onboard during that period.
-Hand sanitizer and antimicrobial soap is provided throughout the yacht.
